RAW AGAINST STONE
Young skin against old stone. The city remains. They won't.
Raw Against Stone is a photographic series by Lulu La Falaise exploring youthful vulnerability within the monumental architecture of Paris.
Blending black-and-white portraiture with selective color images, the project captures young bodies in dialogue with stone, concrete, and urban cultural landmarks such as Palais de Tokyo and surrounding city spaces.
Positioned between contemporary portrait photography and urban documentary, the series examines masculinity, fragility, and group identity in architectural environments.
Influenced by traditions of youth photography and modern art-documentary practice, Raw Against Stone presents intimate moments of tension, solitude, and connection within public and institutional settings.
The work reflects on the contrast between organic presence and rigid structure, creating a visual language where skin confronts stone, and youth confronts permanence.
